Every child has the ability to succeed in life and contribute to society.  However, not all children have the positive role modelsand support system that they need to thrive.  The Martial Renaissance is a grass roots movement whose purpose is to help martial artists and community-based organizations join forces to fill these important and unmet human needs.

Martial Artists are uniquely qualified to fill this void because they are the only group in the world that is universally respected by all peoples, regardless of culture, race, nationality, religion, age or socio-economic condition.  For them, courage, compassion, discipline, self control, commitment, goal-setting and conflict resolution (without violence) are a way of life…

Through the Martial Renaissance, community-based organizations will receive training and support services needed to become more effective partners in the drive to teach our children these values – and the tools to promote their advancement.  In this way, the martial arts industry is becoming a “light in the wilderness” as it relates to community-empowerment, upon which new successes will be built, nurtured and sustained.
